The Issue -
The camera automatically switches to video mode after the initial shutter release and takes stills from the video instead of single photos. This has to do with the settings on the GH5.
We have been successful in getting the Genie/ Genie Mini fire the GH5 here at our NZ HQ.
Below are the pictures of the settings. Please ensure to set your camera as shown below.
1) Set the Mode Dial to Manual Exposure Mode
2) Set the Drive Dial to Single
3) In the Menu, select the wrench tab (with C) to open Custom Settings and then select Focus/ Release Shutter
4) Under Focus, please ensure to have the same settings as seen in the below image -
If you have followed the above steps and still can't get it to work, reset your Camera to factory default Settings. For instructions please read the Panasonic GH5 User Manual
