You can now shoot Panoramas and 360° photos using the Syrp Genie Mini.
The Syrp Genie App now includes a new option on the home screen for Panorama set up and allows you to specify the movement right up to 360°, as well as the overlap for each image. Set up is designed to be extremely simple.
Using a full 180° lens you can also shoot 360° photos for upload to 360° viewers or straight into Facebook for 360° / VR viewing.

I've been having issues with my Genie Mini not able to complete either a full 360 Panorama or defined shorter Panoramas ? Come up with a (uh oh unable to turn to desired position) part way through
John Carter
Had nothing but issues with Pano modes, which was why I bought it. Thinking of tossing it in for an ioptron which can also track night sky.
Same thing, nothing but problems trying to make this to work. I also get the Uh-oh unable to turn to the desired position half way through. Really wanted this to work.
Mine worked fine first time, and every other time after. Awesome product
Used the new Genie 2 App for the first time this morning and once the correct parameters were entered it worked first time. I don't think the portrait setting changed anything as the number of shots for a complete 360 were incorrect no matter how I changed the overlap percentage however my stitching software corrected the errors so the output was fine. Couldn't seem to save the parameters as a preset as having to enter them each time new Pano required. Setting the NPP was a challenge but once I used my manual rotator lens clamp it was fine so no stitching errors once this set. Very cost effective product in comparison to other solutions for single row panorama's though you can shoot multi row with the right lens/camera mount.
Normally it is easier to use a manual rotator but sometimes a remote rotator can be a useful addition to your kit and is very reasonably priced for this function.
